The Ag Guy, LLC

Advice, service and tools for improving forage quality and

optimizing nutrient management on livestock farms

Maintained by Stuart Rymph, Ph.D., CCA

Welcome to The Ag Guy, LLC Homepage,

Years of experience working with feed and fertilizer programs for dairy farmers has taught me that nutrient management is an integral part of the whole farm operation, not just a manure or fertilizer distribution problem. Feed inputs, animal performance, cropping systems, farm management and farm goals all interact to determine the "best" nutrient management strategies for each farm. Through the Ag Guy, LLC, I offer a variety of nutrient management services and resources to help identify which approaches will work best for your farm and then put together a plan that you can grow with.

I also help companies in planning and analyzing research experiments and field trials. Services range from reviewing the literature to designing a valid experiment and statistically analyzing the results. Don't waste your time with guess work, do it right the first time, give The Ag Guy a try.

I will be gradually building this site as time allows. In the meantime, you are welcome to look over some of the research that I have been involved in. I have also listed some links to forage and crop modeling resources, feel free to visit any and all of them.

Thank you,

Stu Rymph

How much N leaches when you put on over 800 pounds of N per acre from dairy effluent on sand in a year?
It depends on what crop you apply it to - you might be surprised.
